Our story began almost 100 years ago, in a canvas tent on the remote and untamed northern prairies. This is where we learned about the craft of protection -- and its vital impact on people, their livelihoods and their futures.
Over this time, Norseman has grown and evolved -- from being a mere maker of products -- to a leading manufacturer of high performance gear. While products allow you to do your job, gear is much more. It's painstakingly designed and meticulously crafted to address the real-world challenges those who rely on it face daily.
Northwest Tent & Awning Opens its doors on historic Jasper Avenue
Alvin Bryant acquires Northwest Tent & Awning Co. Ltd.
Campers Village opens on the main floor of Northwest Tent & Awning
Sale of the first rig shelter
Northwest Shelters Division is created
Norseman Manufacturing Division is created. Ron Bryant joins full time.
Terry Bryant joins Northwest Tent & Awning as Controller.
Northwest Tent & Awning creates Dove of Peace for Pope John Paul III’s visit to Edmonton.
Foam Products Division is created under the leadership of Terry Bryant.
Campers Village opens its first stand-alone retail store on 170 Street in Edmonton.
The Norseman Group celebrates 75 years with a move to a new office building.
The company name is changed from Northwest Tent & Awning to Norseman Group Ltd.
Norseman begins sourcing products and materials from Asia
Norseman purchases the Cover-All assets and creates Norseman Structures Inc.
Norseman contributes to the 2010 Winter Olympics.

Over our near 100 years in operation, there’s very little we haven’t been able to accomplish with these materials. Our gear is used extensively across a range of industries worldwide including automotive, aerospace, product protection, industrial parts, marine, building and construction, military, medical and sports and leisure.
